WooChul Jung's Group

   Energy conversion and storage techniques play a critical role in a carbon-neutral, sustainable energy future. Our research focuses on developing efficient ways for converting solar energy to chemical fuels and subsequently to electricity.

   We emphasize the characterization and optimization of oxide/gas interface properties for applications such as solar fuel production, fuel cells, electrolyzers and other conversion and storage devices. We pursue multidisciplinary approaches, spanning over electrochemistry, solid state electronics and ionics, surface science. catalysis, and micro/nano-fabrication.
